      Tasting Notes and Description
A classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc; all passionfruit, grapefruit, elderflower and flowering blooms on the nose. To taste, it has passionfruit and guava, aromatic herbs, lemon thyme and sage with hints of white flowers. It’s full and generous in the mouth, yet crisp, refreshing and dry with just a hint of salty minerality on the finish. It's full and generous in the mouth, yet crisp, refreshing and dry with just a hint of salty minerality on the finish.

Everything that is good about Marlborough is encapsulated in this range of wines. Fresh, flavourful and pristine with a strong sense of place, these wines express the best, both the grape variety and what the region has to offer.

Serve with salads and vegetables, and Mediterranean fare.

"Fruit from four vineyards located around Renwick in the Wairau River Valley. All are on gravel-rich, free-draining soils and have a devigorating soil profile. The grapes were machine-harvested in the cool of the morning, cold settled and cool fermented in stainless-steel tanks. The wine is left on its lees before being blended with a small oak-fermented component and bottled. TA 6.75 g/l, pH 3.25, RS 3 g/l.
Intense and complex aroma that has passion fruit, grapefruit and blackcurrant leaf. Really vibrant fruit plus a slight impression of creamy pears that I associate with lees ageing. On the palate, intense and deeply fruited, with a light friction to the texture and immense freshness – yet fully balanced. A complete and persistent wine. Classically Marlborough yet with a salty twist on the finish that I normally find in wines from closer to the sea."

"Shows plenty of typicity with melon and green apple, as well as pear drops on the nose and palate. Medium body with kiwi fruit, lemon and some green melon. Creamy finish. Delicious and reserved. Vegan. Sustainable. Drink now. Screw cap."
      90 points. James Suckling, jamessuckling.com (January 2025)

"The 2023 Sauvignon Blanc leads with pineapple husk and green apple, white pear, vanilla pod and juniper. In the mouth, the wine is tight and racy, with crushed shells, apple skins and brine aplenty. This is a pretty wine here. I like the lightness and gentle precision of the 2023s on show here. 13% alcohol, sealed under screw cap. Drink to 2027."
