      Tasting Notes and Description
La Rosa Reserva white has a very perfumed nose floral aromas alongside peach and citrus. On the palate the wine is quite full bodied, very soft and seductive. It is an intense wine, full of flavour without any excesses, very beautiful and balanced with a long, fresh finish at the end.

Expressive white fruit aromas with noticeably minerality. On the palate plenty of richness and citric fruit flavours with a lively and very pleasant finish.

Serve chilled as an excellent refreshing aperitif. It is a perfect with a wide variety of different foods such as grilled chicken, smoked salmon, tuna and crab and goats cheese.

Indigenous grape varieties from old vines - 60% Viosinho, 30% Gouveio, and 20% Arinto. The wine was partially fermented in stainless steel with the remainder of the fermenatation in french oak. It spent a further 8 months in oak before being bottled in April 2023.

Still largely unexplored, the terroir in the Douro offers incredible opportunity. None more so than La Rosa's, whose vines rise dramatically out of the river with the imposing Vale do Inferno vineyard, and climb steadily upwards to top out at 5oom with Lamelas, whose magnificent views overlook the very heart of the region. The estate's grapes are category A - the very best the Douro has to offer.

"Smells richer and more complex than the straight La Rosa Branco, with a marked aroma of herbs and white flowers as well as all that pure citrus, and a suggestion of oak. The oak is a little more evident on the palate but beautifully integrated to build an elegant white wine that has a good core of fruit as well as layers and texture that you notice most on aftertaste. Already complex but should become more so with another year or two in the bottle though it is so well balanced you could drink this now. 17 points"
