A fresh wine, animated by intense red fruit aromas. On the palate, it's beautiful and well-balanced, wrapped in fine and elegant tannins.

Domaine de Ventenac is found about 10km north of Carcassonne in the appellation of Cabardès which, because of its location between the Massif Central on one side and the Pyrenees on the other, the region enjoys a climate which is an interesting mix of Mediterranean and Atlantic influences ensuring ideal conditions for growing all sorts of grape varieties.

Varietal typicity (using only one or two varieties in each wine) is the focus of the Domaine de Ventenac range whereas the Château Ventenac portfolio wines attempt to reveal the broader terroir. The wines are made in accordance with the AOC (the rules governing wine production within a particular area). The Réserve de Jeanne contains roughly 40% of the Atlantic varieties and 40% Mediterranean varieties, but the blend varies with each vintage.
