      Tasting Notes and Description
Fruity aromas and well-integrated wood notes. Perfectly balanced with notes of black fruits such as blackcurrant and blackberry, to which aromas of liquorice and spicy notes are added, intermingling with coffee notes.

A broad, full-bodied wine, which fills the palate with its range of flavours and aromas. It has a fine and elegant mouthfeel, is well structured and has tannins that will make this wine continue to develop in the bottle.

It is advisable to decant at least 45 minutes before serving. The perfect accompaniment to game dishes, as well as soups and stews.

The grapes for Millenium come from Viña Alta, an exceptional estate due to the low yield and superb quality of its grapes, grown on poor clay soils, at an altitude of more than 800 metres.

aged for 30 months in french oak then further matured in bottle for 10 months before release.

"100% Tempranillo. Vineyards in Pesquera de Duero. Old vines at 800 m above sea level on poor soils of sand and pebbles. Aged in French oak barrels. 16,000 bottles.
Tasted blind. A very delicate treatment of the wood and with fruit that imposes itself. Combination of black and red fruit of good ripeness. Offers aromatic pepper and a lactic character to complete the nose. Compact, with a ripe plum texture on the palate and firm tannins that want to be integrated. Classic and emblematic Ribera del Duero, as befits the wines of Pesquera de Duero. Drink to 2034."

      Ferran Centelles, jancisrobinson.com (February 2025)

"Complex nose with plenty of sweet spices, pine cones, vanilla and black walnuts to the blackberries and black mushrooms. A hint of bergamot. Tight and creamy on the palate. Don’t be put off by the wood tannins if you open it and drink it while it is young. The fine-grained tannins mesh nicely with the full-bodied palate. While this is quite plush with an old-school Ribera del Duero style, the quality is still impressive. Needs time and should age well in the next 10-15 years. Better from 2026."
