      Tasting Notes and Description
The Paradies Riesling presents an elegant and expressive bouquet of ripe peaches, apricots and juicy tangerines with delicate hints of honeydew melon and vanilla. Powerful yet elegant on the palate, complex and rich with juicy fruit, delicious acidity and subtle minerality. A wine with an enormous ageing potential.

The Korrell estate is located in the commune of Bad Kreuznach in the Nahe wine-growing region in Germany. The Korrell family originated in Spain, and has been involved in wine production here for more than 250 years. The white wines are left on the lees for an extended period and are bottled relatively early so as the wine can be enjoyed while youthful and energetic. The 'Paradies' is their most prized vineyard. The fruit for this sophisticated and nuanced Riesling comes from vines whose roots must dig deep into the warm shell-limestone and clay marl soils. This a fantastic dry Riesling with lots of depth and elegance.

"Despite a cornucopia of ripe orchard-fruit aromas, on the palate this Riesling is lithe and linear. Chamomile and grapefruit with a mouth-watering lemon-pith attack. Warm limestone and heavy clay-marl soils lend equal parts stony sass and cool, within a refined structure. Svelte, savoury spice and racy acidity come together in a truly elegant mouthfeel. Long lingering finish Drink 2023 - 2033."

"The 2020 Kreuznach Riesling Paradies shows a clear, lush and dense, very elegant and aromatic bouquet that reflects old vines as well as the deep, limestone and clayey marl soils. Clear and fresh on the palate, this is a full-bodied, elegant and pure, finely grippy and lemon-scented dry Riesling that is still very young but has the capacity to improve with bottle age. Remarkably finessed in its texture and saline in its finish. 12.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in July 2022. Drink 2025 - 2038.
