The Casablanca Valley enjoys privileged climatic conditions for producing both red and white grapes. Carménère and Merlot have both shown excellent results here due to the long ripening period that they need. The temperate climate is influenced by the cool air currents from the Pacific and gives rise to a special Merlot with a rich fruit character, balanced acidity and elegance in its components.

The Nimbus Estate Merlot is a deep violet-ruby-red colour with a wide range of red and black fruit aromas such as blackberries, blueberries, and raisins that blend harmoniously with an elegant touch of French oak. "The 2019 Nimbus Merlot achieved 14% alcohol and matured in French oak barrels for 10 to 12 months. It has good ripeness and an absence of green notes, with a soft texture and integrated acidity coupled with round tannins and more integrated oak than in past years. 13,886 bottles produced. It was bottled in July 2020. Drink to 2024.
