      Tasting Notes and Description
Luscious blackberry and ripe dark fruits, leather, cigar and hint of vanilla, held together in perfect balance with silky tannins. Harvested from old vines, drinking from clay over limestone terroir. Decant when young, enjoy with food. Produced with minimal intervention, sustainably and vegan.

At Château Picoron, they explore the potential of the great grape that is Merlot. All grown in plots surrounding the Château. The wines are not blended, each is produced from a single plot of grapes, from their 4.5ha vineyard. An honest expression of terroir on the famous Saint-Émilion clay & limestone ridge.

"After a challenging year, our grapes reached a perfect maturity. We extracted the best of our fruit potential only through pigeages technics. Our wine was then aged for 23 months in oak barrels. The result is a rich wine with a velvety texture, surrounded by black berry and cacao notes. Né de L'Eden is the pure expression of Picoron!"
      (Winemaker's notes)

"Full bottle 1,232 g. Cork and wax stopper. 100% Merlot from old vines from a single plot estate-owned vineyard called Les Terrasses, owned by Glenda and Frank Kalyk. The back label says, 'This wine is made following the OUVIPO philosophy (Ouvroir de Vins Potentiels). Made honoring natural and self-imposed constraints.' Minimal intervention, according to the back label.

Ripe, round, fulsome cassis and chocolate-cake aromas. And pan-roasted caraway seed. Plush, comforting fruit on the palate, full-bodied warmth and largesse. Sleek tannins that effortlessly curve around and through the fruit, then lifting it aloft like a glorious prize. This is pulsing with energy, has great vibe! Beguiling generosity from start to finish. Chapeau! Drink 2022 - 2034. 17 points."
