IIl Pino di Biserno reflects the unique terroir of Bibbona, a blend of grapes which truly reflects a classic Alta Maremma wine, clearly a younger sibling of the eponymous Biserno. This, through rigorous selection of young vine grapes, is a fine ambassador for this estate, vintage after vintage, offering an harmonious, seductive style. Accessible and early-drinking, Il Pino reveals the potential character, finesse and elegance of the property. The blend of Il Pino di Biserno consists of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot and in some vintages Cabernet Sauvignon. Under the supervision of Lodovico Antinori Il Pino di Biserno is produced at the Tenuta di Biserno estate and represents the unique terroir of Bibbona. The special blend of grapes makes Il Pino a classic wine of the Upper Maremma. Although produced from grapes from their youngest vineyards, the wine is distinguished by its balance and finesse. Il Pino demonstrates the character as well as the potential of Tenuta di Biserno. Ruby red in colour with purple hues, the nose releases a complexity of aromas ranging from ripe red fruits and Mediterranean scrub to delicate notes of tobacco and spices. Smooth, silky and delicious on the palate, with a balance of thick and elegant tannins, and a long finish. "The Tenuta di Biserno 2021 Il Pino di Biserno is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. The Cabernet-adjacent aromas come through nicely with dark fruit, blackberry and exotic spice. The wine is full-bodied in texture and structure, although it manages slightly more contained richness on the mid-palate. That gives Il Pino a more accessible disposition.
