A bit about the artist:
Born in East Belfast originally Karen has lived all her adult life on and around the shores of Strangford Lough and fell in love with the ever-changing landscape on her doorstep. Honing her painting skills over the years, she captures the light and essence of this stunning Peninsula with its rolling hills and lowlands down to the mudflats around the Lough. Together with the contrasting wild North Coast of Northern Ireland, Karen is never short of ideas.
Karen works in acrylics from her studio on the Ards Peninsula. Her passion for Art and interiors goes hand in hand; bringing the outside in is always her goal. Karen likes to think of her paintings as a special window in a room, a view beyond the walls, a place to escape into and feel the sea air, sunrise or sunset, even just for a moment.
