Domaine Manciat-Poncet

Domaine Manciat-Poncet is a result of the merger of two family-owned estates: the Manciats in Charnay-lès-Mâcon and the Poncet family in Vergisson, in the appellation of Pouilly-Fuissé.

Run since 2002 by Marie-Pierre Manciat, her family has been making wine since 1871.

Her father, Claude Manciat, was one of the top producers in the Maconnais area.

Up until the early 1980s, the Manciats sold their wine mainly in bulk to local negociants.

Claude decided to focus on making and bottling his own wines.

He was able to attain a high level of quality due to his meticulous viticulture and vinification techniques.

Since taking over from her parents, Marie-Pierre has tried to better the estate.

Now maintaining 23 hectares, she lets each area express itself according to its personality.

Manciat-Poncet strives to create a harmony between depth, complexity, minerality, and drinkability in all of their wines.
