Demazet Vignobles

Focusing its wines from the two AOP’s from the Rhone Valley, Demazet Vignobles, takes the know how of the winegrowers of AOP Côtes-du-Rhône and AOP Ventoux and gives birth to elegant, fine and powerful wines with accents of the South.

Côtes-du-Rhône terroir

At the gates of the ancient papal city, it is the southernmost vineyard on the left bank of the Rhône. It extends from Fontaine-de-Vaucluse to the gates of Avignon, as well as on a hill extending from the village of Caumont-sur-Durance to that of Vedène.

Ventoux terroir

Nestled at the foot of Mont Ventoux, more precisely on its southern slope, this terroir is a veritable green setting in Provence, with landscapes shaped by the hand of man on which the vine shares space with a multitude of other Provençal crops.

Since 1925, the Cellar located at the gates of Avignon has mainly produced AOP Côtes-du-Rhône and AOP Côtes-du-Rhône Villages.

In 2012, the winegrowers saw their tenacity rewarded in qualitative terms by gaining recognition for part of their terroir with the birth of the AOP Côtes-du-Rhône Villages Gadagne.

Bringing together more than 100 cooperators, the operating area is approximately 600 hectares, 500 of which are PDO. The average annual production is approximately 27,000 hl, 23,000 of which are PDO.

The cellar has a beautiful aging cellar in barrels and tuns, which does not prevent the use of more modern techniques, notably thermovinification since 2013.
